Best to do what you’ve always done as a dutiful wife and mother and channel all that anxiety into hosting. Specifically this party that your academic husband suggested to celebrate the last weekend before your daughter heads out into the world. The first time he takes an interest in doing something for her and it’s just as she’s about to leave.
Lydia Webb gave up a wildly successful academic career upon marriage and now, in October 1987, she just wants to throw one last wonderful family party. Partly so as not to think too hard about what might come next now that it will just be her and Charles alone in their creaking Georgian Manor in the Lakes.
At least the weather forecast isn’t too bad, she can probably send the men and kids out for a bit to drink wine in the kitchen and ask her dear friends what she should do next.
Room 13 are running a Horror LARP event at Eskmeals house, Lake District on the weekend of the 11th – 13th October.
£140 for a fully catered weekend, players are invited to stay until Monday morning to decompress after the game ends.
